NBA All -Star Voting Is a Joke

Ok So, I thought the distinction of having all-star in front your name was something big, but apparently (according to so called experts) being an NBA All-Star doesn't matter.

So they are ok with the fact the Allen Iverson, averaging a career low 14.6 points a game, is a starter for Eastern All-Star team, also the fact that Tracy McGrady a guy who has played like a total of 40 minutes this whole season was leading Steve Nash (who is having a career year) in all star votes.

I know everyone says this is just an exhibition game and the fans should control who they want to see blah blah blah....but when the day comes for Allen Iverson to be inducted in the hall of fame i guarantee one of the things they say is "he was a 10 and now 11 time all star."

They can say it is just a meaningless game but it really isnt, it used to be a thing of honor to play on the NBA all star team, but now all it has become is a popularity contest.

So you're probably wondering "OK Craig you have complained alot, what is your solution." well I think they need to reduce the fans vote to 1/3 vote. This way they still have a voice but we can prevent Allen Iverson and almost Tracy McGrady starting over deserving players who really are NBA All Stars.
